We were delighted to be able organise our annual Month of Service campaign this year and participated in three charity events.
Our first campaign during the month of October brought associates together to help by collecting for the MK Food Bank. The Food Bank relies entirely on donations of food and money from local schools, churches, businesses, organisations and individuals. Every single item or penny given makes a difference!
A great response was received from the Milton Keynes associates, items collected included, biscuits, cereal, jams, sauces, pasta, tinned fruit, and much more.

With our second campaign, associates had the opportunity to help a local charity by recycling laptops. Older laptops could be kept by either the previous owner or a new owner with a donation being made to The Hollie Foundation. This also saved the older devices from going to a landfill and harming our environment.
The Hollie Foundation is a grant funding charity that supports families affected by Niemann–Pick Type C (NP-C). Their mission is to make the lives of those affected by NP-C today a little easier, whilst working collaboratively towards finding a viable long-term treatment, bringing hope for the future. Niemann Pick Type C (‘NP-C’) is an extremely rare and devastating genetic condition which causes neurological decline and childhood dementia, for which there is currently no cure. Less than 50 children suffer from this condition in the UK and only 1,000 worldwide. You can read more of Hollie’s story here by clicking the button below.
Overall associates raised £470, a great amount for this amazing charity!
Lastly, associates participated in ‘Wear it Pink’ for Breast Cancer Now on Friday 22nd October. Associates had the opportunity to wear an item of pink clothing and donate.
Over the past year, people have been diagnosed with the disease at a time when everything from treatment to screenings have been disrupted. This has only made us more determined to make sure we’re there to provide support for now and hope for the future.
Participation was from both the office and home to raise vital funds for Breast Cancer Now, making life changing breast cancer research and care happen. A total of £38 was raised on the day.

Thank you to all our amazing associates for taking the time and helping make a difference to these charities.
